My, oh my am I excited today! I received a text from Rhet saying "Go buy a ticket stat!" Rhet, my husband, has been training for an upcoming tour to the Middle East for duty with the US Air Force. I haven't seen him in almost a month, and this spur-of-the-moment trip was one I have been both hopeful for and nervous about. I've already had my moment of grief at the airport, the dreaded goodbye and watched every moment of him going through airport security, only to be divided by a thin rope. This time I'll be the one flying out and back to life here in Niceville. I've settled nicely here as a single lady and have a lot to look forward to from photographing a wedding in Mexico for a dear friend to a weekend girls trip in Seaside.
I'm most excited about attending this amazing workshop next weekend. The Savvy Photographer is one of the most inspiring women in my trade and I can't wait to meet her and the other talented photographers as well. It sounds like a dream and a very welcomed distraction. I know I'll make some life-long friends from all over the map and learn even more to better my business and brand.
I am grateful for this time to grow, learn and revamp myself to a stronger, smarter, more confident photographer and wife.
Here's to an amazing Spring!

Emerson Elizabeth King: Newborn
Here are some of my favorites from capturing sweet
little Emerson. She loves her momma and with good reason. Melissa is
such a devoted mother of three beautiful little ones. I've loved getting to sit and chat with
her while we wait for precious Emerson to fall asleep. She is still so
tiny, just like her momma.

Kathryn + Staples//Maternity Shoot//Destin Maternity Photography
Kathryn and I were roommates in college. She has since given birth to her beautiful daughter, Staples. She is named after one of my favorite christian scholars, Clive Staples Lewis. Kathryn is such a beautiful mother and friend. Thank you for allowing me to photograph you and sweet Staples.
Last month our dear friends, The Bawcom's, celebrated the completion of their beautiful new home. Their builder, John Tidwell, did an exquisite job putting Rebecca's dreams into action. I was happy to photograph his handiwork and have enjoyed spending time in the beautiful new home.
I Love this 'Real Simple Home',
