The Malone Family

Last week I shared my afternoon with this beautiful family. Little Natalie, just 3 weeks old, and Gavin were a delight and proved to be very photogenic. Thank you for allowing me to serve you through my lense. -HL

On home to Houston

I've traveled home last week for a dear friend's wedding and to watch my mother in her element for a great cause. It was my first trip home, and thought it deserved it's very own post. It was a bittersweet visit, one that I will remember for a long time. It was filled with a lot of pink, laughter and memories of a lovely Miss Danielle McGee turning into a beautiful new,  Mrs. Danielle Mitchell.

The Menn Twins

Moving to a small town has been very welcoming. People here in the Emerald Coast have shared the utmost kindness and southern hospitality. However, I have  two instances where I've met two ladies I'd previously been "set up" to meet, and did so randomly at our gym. I'm happy to admit that both  these ladies have now allowed me to photograph their children. Thus, The Menn Twins!
Meet sweet little Miss Taylor and the very contemplative, Mister Carson Menn. They are almost one and their sweet mom, Suzy, brought them to our community pumpkin patch last week for a mini-session. I met Suzy in a pilates class, and later that day received text from one of my best friends who lives in Texas stating, "Did you go to a pilates class this morning?" She shares a mutual friend with one of Suzy's, Cassie, who later called to give me the scoop on how cool Suzy is and that we must meet asap! The rest is history and I couldn't be more grateful for another military wife and friend to vent to! Suzy, your family is adorable and it was a joy to photograph them.

Lana is full of laughter and has a contagious personality. She is always adorned in purple for two reasons- she looks so great in the royal color and she's a TCU Horned Frog! Lana is also my youngest sister-in-law. She is planning to attend law school next fall and is loving her last 2 semesters as a senior. She came to visit us on her fall break and I just had to get her down to the beach. We had such a great visit and can't wait to see her again soon!
